Solution for Air Compressor Testing System

Release Time:2025-07-24

I. Industry Background:

An air compressor is a driven fluid machine that boosts low-pressure gas to high-pressure gas and serves as the heart of a refrigeration

system. It has a wide range of applications. In recent years, there has been a significant demand for air compressors in industries such

as steel, power, metallurgy, petrochemicals, mining, mechanical manufacturing, paper and printing, automotive, home appliances,

aerospace, etc. The market has shown a steady development trend.

Especially in recent years, the new energy sector and cold chain logistics have gradually become popular industries in the domestic

market, further expanding the application fields of air compressors. With the continuous improvement of people's living standards and

consumption levels, the demand for fresh and frozen food that is easy to preserve has gradually increased, promoting the rapid

development of the cold chain logistics industry. The demand for refrigeration equipment such as cold storage, refrigerated trucks,

and cold cabinets has also increased accordingly, which in turn has driven the development of the air compressor market. Additionally,

in the new energy sector, air compressors are important components of the cathode gas supply system for vehicle fuel cells.

Their performance directly affects the efficiency, compactness, and water balance characteristics of the fuel cell system.

Therefore, the development of China's new energy vehicle industry also contributes to the expansion of the air compressor market size.

II. Application Requirements:

According to national or industry standards, routine inspections must be conducted on completed products, covering two major aspects:

safety performance testing and operational performance testing.

The testing and inspection of air compressors mainly include the following items:

1. Safety performance testing items include: ground resistance, insulation resistance, withstand voltage leakage current,

and leakage current.

2. Operational performance testing includes:

a. Air filling time: The running time from 0 to full pressure in the tank when the air compressor is powered on.

b. Pressure increase time: The running time within a set pressure range.

c. Maximum current during operation: The maximum current measured during the air filling process.

d. Maximum power during operation: The maximum power measured during the air filling process.

e. Pressure switch cut-off pressure: The pressure at which the air compressor stops.

f. Pressure switch power-on pressure: The pressure at which the air compressor resumes operation after releasing air.

g. Low-voltage start-up: The start-up performance under low voltage and at a certain pressure.

III. Solution:

The air compressor testing system developed by Ruijie Intelligence integrates safety performance testing and operational performance testing.

Given the complexity of the testing items, considering the proportion of time taken for safety performance testing and operational

performance testing, it comprehensively tests each item and optimizes the process to achieve efficient testing.
